So if you or someone you know is moving to Columbus or has ALWAYS wanted a vacation home here, this is the perfect place for you. As an added incentive....if you refer the person to us who buys our house, Darin will give you his Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe. Seriously. Now let the search begin!

The "Honey Do" List is done!

Since we moved into our house I've loved EVERY minute of it! I have had one minor little dislike...our kitchen. It's on the smaller side and there is NOTHING we can do about that but the kicker has been the cabinets.....

Exhibit A

These were described as "Oak Trim"... sad.

My DH is very handy and after much pleading (7 yrs worth!) and not to mention peer pressure from seeing the other hubbies in our condos re-do their cabinets, Darin caved. Also with the sagging real estate market we wanted to spruce up the place a tad more....enough, enough already.

Exhibit B, C, & D

Yes, I'm beaming...and it's just in time to sell our place. :( He even re-did the bathroom cabinets...all this WHILE working on his thesis and looking for a practice. So here's a BIG PUBLIC THANK YOU to DARIN!
Love you!

Recitals

I can't believe I have kids that are old enough to be in recitals. The girls had a dance recital, their first, in early December. I loved watching them practice in class each week but was a bit worried they would get scared on stage. Not a problem though! Both girls loved performing. Kate did a cute ballet number to Silver Bells. Allie was old enough to do a ballet (It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas) as well as tap (I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas) number. The big mistake of the day was taking Roman, in case you are wondering 12 month old boys do NOT enjoy recitals. In fact they can and WILL ruin the experience if possible. Darin and I took some video and pictures while wrangling Roman which makes for some jerky footage and blurry photos. I'm getting ready to print this blog into a book so there are a lot of pictures.

(Kate's in the middle.)

The only video I added was Allie's piano recital, it's a short video but she did a great job. When we arrived for the recital I asked Allie where her book was. Her face said it all! She had forgotten it at home. I turned to Darin (he's the one that usually helps her w/ piano since he plays and I don't), he said it's not a big deal because she had memorized the song. I was impressed. I listened to her play and never realized she wasn't using the book! LOL See if you can catch who the "composer" is...she had to think of it off-hand. ;)
